The architecture of Elim Valley is completely unique. We harkened back to the European ancestry of those that originally settled this area. Our premise was simple. What kinds of homes would those settlers have built here if they had possessed the materials and skills that we have today? How would they have incorporated outdoor living to take advantage of the temperate climate and reflected the colors and materials of the area?
We gave the challenge to three nationally renowned architectural firms to execute our mandate, and the results are truly remarkable and unique.
Robert Hidey Architects, Bassenian Lagoni Architects and Scheurer Architects all contributed designs for the Elim Valley Grand Courtyard Home. This home consists of a primary home combined with guest homes, pool houses or multiple living spaces all connected by an exterior wall, creating a central outdoor gathering area. Creative designs provide large families or groups the opportunity to enjoy each other, yet still maintain a sense of privacy.
