The architecture of Elim Valley is completely unique. We harkened back to the European ancestry of those that originally settled this area. Our premise was simple. What kinds of homes would those settlers have built here if they had possessed the materials and skills that we have today? How would they have incorporated outdoor living to take advantage of the temperate climate and reflected the colors and materials of the area?
We gave the challenge to three nationally renowned architectural firms to execute our mandate, and the results are truly remarkable and unique.
Designed by Scheurer Architects, the Cottage Home is a charming single-family residence. It is a quaint version of the larger homes at Elim Valley, and maintains many of the same outdoor features including a unique mix of balconies, patios, outdoor living rooms and porches. Home interiors offer exceptional gathering and entertaining options with thoughtfully situated great rooms, dining rooms, living rooms and kitchens.
