***Trails are the No. 1 amenity potential homeowners cite when asked what they would like to see in a new community, ahead .of public parks and outdoor pools, according to the National Association of Home Builders. Trails were cited by 57 percent of prospective buyers in a 2004 survey by the association. "All of the evidence we have suggests that demand for trails is increasing," said Gopal Ahluwalia, the vice president for research at the builders' group... ***
Elim Valley will incorporate a carefully planned and executed series of trails for walking, jogging, and horseback enjoyment. The trails will incorporate the natural beauty of the land; working with rather than against the contour and terrain. These trails will be "high-tech" in nature, implementing state-of-the-art GPS monitoring systems to track location, distance traveled, and health-related data. The trails will provide en-route exercise centers and point-of-sale facilities (water, snacks, energy drinks) with restrooms and unobtrusive lighting. The trails will be one of our premiere and best-utilized amenities. They will be woven into each of our neighborhoods--tying directly to the natural rim areas and miles of already established and beautiful trail systems.
No other community in Southern Utah or surrounding region will have a trail system that compares to ours. This alone will become a major selling point to increase lot/home premiums and absorption above that of our competitors. In fact, we seriously anticipate our trail system alone will bring national recognition--and value.
